Meet the Team
Shelly Rau
Office Manager
Shelly grew up on a farm with a youthful desire to become a pharmacist. This desire to help people heal lead her to study many forms of healing. She has a broad educational background in Chemistry, Records Management, Theology, Massage Therapy, and Nutrition. She has spent her life walking a sometimes-winding path but believes it was always led by God.
She met Dr. Melinda when she took her 6-year-old son in search of healing for his heart condition. She had heard that she practiced a unique type of healing and was praying for help for him. And boy did she learn a lot. In 1995 she started work at Healing Hands. After working for Dr. M for several years she was led to attend massage school. She enjoyed helping people with massage but after a year she began working for St. Rita’s Catholic church as the Director of Faith Formation and Youth Ministries. There she worked with many youths for 11 years helping them find spiritual healing.
She was praying one day for God to once again direct her path as to where He wanted her to be. Shortly after praying, that same day, Dr. Melinda left a message for her saying she had been praying and she thought it was time for her to return to work for her! As the Office Manager, she loves working side by side with Dr. Melinda providing patient support and direction.
In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and grown children. Especially her 4 precious grandchildren!!
Matthew Lesiewicz

Matthew is licensed and has worked in the field of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since 2008 and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) since 2009. He became a licensed Massage Therapist in the Spring of 2021 and shortly after began working at Healing Hands. With massage, you can improve your quality of life and lessen, if not totally eliminate, pain and soreness, allowing you to live more fully. Matthew wants to bring that to the lives of his patients. He enjoys educating patients on how to take care of themselves between visits and extending the benefits of each visit.
In his off time, he likes to spend time with his family and friends in nature, playing games of all types, and working out at the gym.
